I've been interested in graphics programming since I first learned GW-Basic in Jr.
High. At home, I would write programs that would draw NBA logos to the screen (I'm
also somewhat of a sports nerd too), drawing each line and executing each fill in
code. It wasn’t until college, where I took my first game programming class that
I fell in love with programming games.
I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science
in Computer Science. After college I started working as a web developer for a couple
of different companies, while at the same time continuing to develop games in my
free time. My experience as a professional web developer has taught me invaluable
lessons on how to work in a team environment, putting in extra hours to meet a deadline,
and really it has made me a much better programmer.
In 2011, after several years of developing games as a hobby, I finally broke into
the game development industry with Gateway Gaming. Gateway develops casino and bingo
games for markets not traditionaly thought of as gaming markets. Since I've been
with Gateway, I've been the lead developer on 23 games and designed/developed the
core logic and event systems for our new game engine.
I have compiled this portfolio to showcase my talents as a game programmer that
I have developed over the years. Please contact me if you like what you see, have
any questions, or would like to discuss any of my projects.
